Community Projects

Johnson County Medical Society and Alliance address many critical health issues that impact the residents of Johnson County. Through our projects, we provide education and support to local residents on relevant medical issues. Some of our projects include:

Think Don't DrinkThink Don't Drink

The Johnson County Medical Society and Alliance are pleased to announce our Think Don’t Drink public service project.  Our goal is to encourage high school students to enjoy the festivities of prom without including alcohol in their celebration.  This project is a collaboration between physicians and spouses, medical students and resident physician spouses, and the Coralville and Iowa City Police departments.

Local florists will insert Informational cards into prom flowers for the following dates:

Regina                         April 18, 2009
Iowa City West High    May 2, 2009
Iowa City High             May 9, 2009

For more information about this project, contact Becky Kresowik or Kathy Lariviere, project co-chairs or click to access our press release.
